Data Retention and Deletion Policy
Effective Date: May 22, 2026 • Last Updated: May 22, 2026
This policy explains how Piquora retains, deletes, and restricts access to account, safety, billing, and operational records.
1. General retention principle
Piquora keeps information only for as long as needed to provide the service, protect users, comply with law, investigate abuse, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, resolve disputes, and maintain business records.
2. Account and profile information
We retain core account and profile information for as long as your account remains active. This may include registration details, profile information, preferences, location-related profile data, photos, and account settings.
3. Messages, reports, and moderation data
We may retain messages, reports, block records, moderation outcomes, and related evidence for safety, abuse investigation, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and enforcement consistency.
Some safety-related records may be retained even after account deletion when necessary to protect users, detect repeat offenders, comply with law, or defend legal claims.
4. Verification and identity-related data
Phone verification, facial verification, and related verification metadata may be retained for security, anti-fraud, moderation, and account-integrity purposes for a limited period that reflects legal, operational, and safety needs.
5. Billing, transactions, and refunds
Payment, subscription, coin, refund, and ledger-related records may be retained for accounting, tax, chargeback handling, compliance, audits, and financial dispute resolution.
6. Deletion requests
When you delete your account or request deletion, Piquora will begin the deletion workflow for eligible data. Some information may be removed immediately, while other categories may be retained for a defined period for legal, safety, or operational reasons.
7. What may be retained after deletion
- Records needed to comply with legal obligations or lawful requests.
- Records required to investigate abuse, fraud, or safety incidents.
- Billing, chargeback, tax, and financial records.
- Security logs and limited audit records.
- Data preserved under legal hold or dispute requirements.
8. Backups and delayed deletion
Some data may persist temporarily in encrypted backups or archived systems until those systems rotate, expire, or are securely overwritten in the normal course of operations.
9. Requests for access, correction, or deletion
To request access, correction, or deletion, contact privacy@piquora.com or use the support routes available through Piquora when provided.
