Safety Center

Effective Date: May 22, 2026  •  Last Updated: May 22, 2026

Piquora is built for intentional relationships, but no platform can eliminate every risk. This Safety Center explains how to protect yourself on-platform and offline, how to recognize risky behavior, and how to get help.

1. Immediate danger and emergencies

If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. Do not wait for an in-app response.

If you believe someone may harm you, extort you, blackmail you, or threaten your safety, leave the situation, preserve evidence where safe to do so, and report the profile inside Piquora.

2. Before you meet someone in person
  • Meet in a public place for the first few dates.
  • Tell a trusted friend where you are going, with whom, and when you expect to return.
  • Arrange your own transportation. Do not rely on a new match for pickup or drop-off.
  • Keep your phone charged and location sharing available to someone you trust if appropriate.
  • Trust your instincts. If something feels off, leave.
3. Protect your personal information
  • Do not share your home address, workplace, financial account information, or government ID casually.
  • Be cautious about moving to SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram, email, or other off-platform channels too quickly.
  • Never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, login codes, or financial credentials to another user.
  • Do not share private photos or videos if you are not prepared for the risk of redistribution.
4. Common scam and abuse patterns
  • Romance scams involving urgent money requests, travel issues, medical emergencies, or investment opportunities.
  • Impersonation or catfishing using fake photos, inconsistent identity details, or suspicious profile history.
  • Sextortion or blackmail after requests for intimate images or recordings.
  • Pressure to leave Piquora immediately to avoid moderation or platform safety controls.
  • Repeated requests for phone numbers, bank details, verification codes, or remote access to devices.
5. Verification and authenticity

Piquora may offer phone verification, photo review, and facial or identity-related verification flows to help reduce impersonation and improve trust. Verification can strengthen confidence signals, but it is not a guarantee that a user is safe, truthful in every respect, or compatible with you.

You should still use judgment, move at a comfortable pace, and report suspicious behavior.

6. Reporting and blocking

You can use in-product report and block tools when available.

  • Use block when you want to stop contact or visibility.
  • Use report when behavior may violate rules, create risk, or require staff review.
  • Report threats, hate, harassment, scams, impersonation, non-consensual content, suspected minors, and extortion immediately.

For details, see our Reporting, Blocking, and Safety Enforcement Policy.

7. Meeting and communication boundaries
  • You never owe anyone a reply, a date, access to your body, or access to your contact details.
  • Respect clear boundaries from other users. If someone says no, disengage.
  • Threats, coercion, humiliation, stalking, and sexually aggressive conduct are prohibited.
8. If someone may be under 18

Piquora is intended only for adults 18 and older. If you suspect that a profile belongs to a minor, stop contact and report the account immediately.

See our Age Eligibility and 18+ Policy for more information.
