This Notification Policy explains what notifications Piquora may send, the channels we use, and how you can control non-essential messages.

2. Types of Notifications
  • Account Notifications:
    • Password reset requests.
    • Account activation and deactivation alerts.
    • Security-related notifications.
  • Communication Notifications:
    • New message or chat requests.
    • Likes, winks, or similar interactions.
    • Updates on matches or compatibility.
  • Event and Activity Notifications:
    • Notifications about events, meetups, or social gatherings.
    • Alerts regarding changes to user profiles or preferences.
    • Reminders for upcoming dates or interactions.
  • Promotional Notifications:
    • Special offers, promotions, or discounts.
    • Updates on new features or enhancements.
    • Newsletters and other marketing communications.
3. Delivery Channels
  • In-app: banners, badges, and alerts while using the platform.
  • Email: account and service messages, and marketing emails where permitted.
  • Push notifications: on supported devices if you enable them.
4. Consent and Preferences
  • SMS Consent & Opt-In:
    • Users opt in to receive SMS verification messages from Piquora within account settings by enabling SMS verification on a verified phone number and checking a consent checkbox that is unchecked by default.
    • By opting in, users agree to receive SMS messages only for account security, sign-in, and verification.
    • Message frequency may vary based on verification requests. Message and data rates may apply.
    • Consent is not a condition of purchase.
    • At opt-in, users are directed to review the Terms and Privacy Policy.
  • Opt-Out:
    • Users can opt out of receiving SMS verification messages at any time by replying STOP to any message.
    • Once opted out, no further SMS verification messages will be sent unless the user opts back in through account settings and provides consent again.
  • Help:
    • Users can reply HELP to any SMS verification message for assistance.
  • Preferences & Frequency:
    • Users can manage notification preferences within their account settings.
    • Message frequency varies based on verification requests.

5. Service Messages vs. Marketing

Some notifications are necessary to provide the service (for example, security alerts, password resets, and important account notices). These may be sent even if you opt out of marketing messages.

Marketing messages (for example, promotions) are optional and can typically be disabled in settings or by using the unsubscribe link in emails.
